HFV is a company incorporated in the UK and Sierra Leone.

Our objective is to bring together a world-class team, with access to government, financiers and technical expertise, to develop an infrastructure and agriculture Project in West Africa. 

Our vision is for the Region to realize its potential by assisting in its development and use of its own abundant natural resources to feed itself, fuel its power requirements, develop its infrastructure and improve the quality of the lives of its citizens.  

HFV conducts its business in a responsible manner, with a particular emphasis on sustainability and climate change, whilst endeavouring to create jobs, train locals and contribute to the communities in which it does business. 

 

 

 

HFV was formed by Sierra Leoneans to help develop opportunities in the region. These have included projects in Infrastructure, Agriculture, Energy, Sustainable Energy and Mining to date. 

Founders:

Mervyn Thomas: - Managing Director - Mervyn has worked over the prior fifteen years for some of the best investment banks in the world, including Barclays Capital and Deutsche Bank, where he was European Head of Credit Pricing, JP Morgan and HSBC. Mervyn resigned from investment banking to dedicate his time to the HFV venture, which he initiated and had been developing over the prior 2 years. 

the Late Professor Kosonike Koso-Thomas: - was Non Executive Director - Successful entrepreneur and veteran of over forty years of business experience in Africa, including commercial plantation experience. He sat on the board of multiple businesses and was also a distinguished academic and poet. Professor Thomas was a Senior Fulbright Scholar and has received honours and awards, including Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Sierra Leone shares close cultural and family ties with Liberia, Guinea and other West African countries. We intimately understand the people, the culture and their unique way of doing business.

HFV has strong contacts at the highest levels of the government and in the wider local community.
